Preesha goes undercover and saves Rudra while Mahima flees. The family moves to Goa. Preesha plots to stop Kabir and Ahana's marriage, she instead has Ahana marry Yuvraj but Ahana flees. Rudra becomes upset with Preesha but makes up with her later after saving her from drowning. Mishka and Kabir elope and get married. They obtain custody of Saransh and kidnap him. Mishka threatens to blow up herself and Saransh if the police are involved. Rudra manages the situation but things take a tragic turn when Preesha secretly brings the police. Saransh and Mishka are presumed dead. Rudra blames Preesha for Saransh's death. She blames him for not trusting her against his mother and brother earlier. Rudra and Preesha divorce. Rudra vows to never sing again. Preesha almost falls off a cliff but is saved by Armaan Thakur. Armaan knows her condition and asks her to raise his daughter Anvi.

6 months later

Rudra saves Preesha, has his mother Sulochana sentenced. Rudra asks for Preesha's forgiveness. Armaan takes Preesha to Shimla, spikes her drink to make Rudra misunderstand Preesha but Rudra sets the room on fire and takes Preesha. Drunk Preesha seduces Rudra. Rudra gets critically injured on his birthday. Preesha finally confesses she loves him. Rudraksh orchestrates a fake wedding with Anvi's biological mother and Armaan's wife, Sania to gain information about Saransh. Preesha refuses to believe Rudra moving on. She makes Rudra jealous. Preesha hires a private investigator and discovers Sania's identity. Sania manipulates the situation in a way that Preesha misunderstands Rudra. Preesha asks Armaan to marry her to make Rudra confess. Rudra arrives to stop the wedding telling Preesha that he loves her and that their son is alive. Preesha presents Krishna, who is Saransh disguised as a girl, to Rudra and reveals he is Saaransh showing him his birthmark. Ahaana and Mishka are arrested. Rudra and Preesha's pre-wedding festivities start off much to Armaan's annoyance. Rudra starts getting suspicious towards Armaan. At their sangeet, Rudra sings "will you marry me", their special song for Preesha which helps Saaransh remember some things. Rudra and Preesha get married twice, South Indian and Punjabi style. Saransh gets his memory back. Preesha has a grand grihapravesh at Khurana house. Preesha tells Rudra she wants him to be a Rockstar again. Their lawyers tell them they are legal guardians of Saransh and have managed to get all their property. At the press conference, they tell everyone they are happy to be back as a family which makes Anvi jealous. Anvi gets a car to run over Saransh but Sharda saves him. Mr Ahuja tells Rudra he has to leave for Shimla for his concert tour. Armaan and Sania arrive posing to be fixing their marriage. Armaan tells Mr Ahuja to give him a drink that would damage his voice. Rudra has a panic attack when he loses his voice but Preesha figures it out and gives him the medicine he needs. Rudraksh dedicates a special life song to Preesha and performs brilliantly.

Preesha's brother, Venkatesh "Venky" Srinivasan who was missing for ten years, is found. He had attempted suicide due to a false molestation charge and was secretly hidden by GPS. Preesha is happy to have him back but Rudra is suspicious of him. Venky tries to sabotage Param and Mishka's wedding as Mishka was the girl who accused him wrongly. Rudra warns him. Venky challenges Rudra that Preesha would not believe him. Venky causes differences between Rudra and Preesha but ultimately Rudra exposes him. Preesha apologises to Rudra. Venky kidnaps Saaransh, Rudra gets into a fight with him and Venky is shot. Preesha takes the blame to save Rudra and gets arrested. She gets sentenced to death as Rudra is unconscious. Yuvraj helps her escape from jail as she is pregnant and they stage her death to save her child. Rudra is made to believe Preesha is perished in a fire just as he goes to rescue her and sinks into depression.

5 years later

Preesha's case reopens and Saaransh hires Vaijanti as his lawyer. Rudra is still furious at Preesha but indulges the children who refuse to talk to him. Preesha gets released on bail and they both get stuck overnight at a hotel. Rudra gets chicken pox, Preesha takes care of him against his will. The children bring Preesha back to Khurana house. During her trial the events of Venky's murder is finally revealed and Vaijanti is arrested. Rudra finds out Preesha was only trying to save him. They all happily reunite. Rudra and Preesha wait to reveal to Ruhi about Rudra being her father. Rudra takes Preesha out on a grand date. Dev, a bully at school starts harassing Ruhi and Saaransh. Rudra moves Preesha to their room and they get romantic. At Holi, Ruhi finds out that Rudra is her father and married to Preesha, she makes them promise to never fight again. Yuvraj spikes Preesha's drink. He tries to film a tape with her however Rudra arrives drunk and Yuvraj ends up watching them get intimate. Rudra decides to teach music at Khurana school to spend more time with Preesha and the children. Preesha shows Rudra Ruhi's childhood tapes. Dev keeps harassing the family and his mother, Revati who is also the police commissioner protects him. Yuvraj reveals to Rudra that Preesha knew he was responsible for Rajeev's murder all these years which causes a fight between Rudra and Preesha after which Yuvraj runs away. Rudra sleeps on the sofa but pretends to be normal in front of the family. Saaransh accidentally pushes Dev off a building while protecting Ruhi, which leads to Dev's death. Rudra and Preesha panic and decide to hide Dev's body together to protect their family.

Rudra and Preesha keep having differences while trying to hide Dev's body. Revati suspects them. Sharda finds out and helps them hide the body to protect their family. Preesha keeps trying to fix problems between her and Rudra, they make each other jealous. Rudra tells her he loves her but cannot forgive her but they keep acting happy in front of the children. Revati finds Dev's body and takes the Khurana family under custody for questioning. Rudra gets beaten up and Ruhi confesses everything. Preesha ends up saving Rudra as she finds out Dev was murdered by Revati's husband. Ruhi wants Rudra and Preesha to marry again on their wedding anniversary and they reluctantly agree for the children's happiness. Revati wants to take revenge from them and keeps sabotaging the wedding functions but it keeps bringing Rudra and Preesha closer. Preesha keeps seducing Rudra and tries to get intimate but he admits it's only physical attraction and getting intimate won't fix their problems. Saaransh talks to Rudra who realises that he must forgive Preesha. Rudra dedicates a song and speech for Preesha on their sangeet and gets electrocuted but Preesha saves him via CPR. They make up and get happily married. Preesha finds out about Revati and plans to expose her. Revati challenges Preesha who faints and finds out she's pregnant again. Rudra is ecstatic to find out about having another baby. Revati threatens Preesha that she would take her child. Rudra and Preesha start attending Lamaze classes for Rudra to learn how to take care of a baby. Revati keeps causing problems as Preesha tries to expose her. Armaan returns and lies to Preesha about being terminally sick. Rudra and Preesha fight about Armaan but they forget about it as they feel their baby kick of the first time. Rudra takes care of Preesha throughout the pregnancy as months pass and they are excited to welcome a baby.

Nine months later

At Preesha's baby shower, she plans to lie to Revati about the baby dying. Preesha goes into labour and Rudra stays in the room with her. However Revati and Armaan come up with a plan by poisoning Rudra and Preesha that leads to their newborn son being kidnapped. Rudra and Preesha have a fight about losing their baby which they immediately regret. Before Rudra finds Preesha, Armaan drugs and kidnaps her leaving a letter for Rudra.

1 year later

Preesha goes to Delhi for Pihu's admission in the same college as Raj and Vidyut, Rudra's cousins. Rudra and Preesha keep having hits and misses. Rudra gets his private investigator to investigate Armaan for Preesha's disappearance. Ruhi and Saaransh both find Preesha and are upset when she doesn't recognise them. They start investigating and Rudra gets suspicious. Rudra and Preesha keep meeting at night at a tea stall but don't see each other. The children find out about Preesha who feels a connection with Ruhi. Armaan lies to them and says Rudra is responsible for Preesha's memory loss and she would die if she meets Rudra. Ruhi does not believe Armaan and plans to unite her parents. Rudra and Preesha finally meet at the police station and Rudra is shocked to see Preesha's violent behaviour towards him and thrashes Armaan. Ruhi tells Rudra that Preesha doesn't hate him but has lost her memory. Rudra promises the children that he will bring his wife back home. Rudra follows Preesha to Shimla. Armaan drugs both Rudra and Preesha getting them to share a bed and blames Rudra. Rudra secretly orchestrates a medial checkup for Preesha and finds out from her brain scan that drugs have affected her brain. Rudra suspects Armaan and with the help of the children disguises as a old gardener and moves in with Preesha. Rudra and the children recreate old memories to help Preesha remember. Preesha let's Rudra help her with her wardrobe malfunction and does not react violently towards him even when he's in close proximity.

Rudra manages to swap the medicines and gets Armaan arrested briefly. Pihu finds out the truth about Rudra and Preesha, decides to help unite them. Pihu gets Preesha to attend a party at Khurana house where Rudra sings Will you marry me for Preesha which helps her recollect some memories. Rudra and Preesha passionately dance and Rudra takes Preesha outside where they share an intimate moment and confess their love to each other before Preesha passes out. Preesha gets really bothered after that encounter and lashes out at Rudra. Rudra with the family and Pihu's help makes Preesha believe he has moved on and is marrying Vanshika which makes Preesha jealous. Preesha saves Rudra's life and Rudra realises Preesha's old personality is returning. At one of the ceremonies, Rudra and Preesha get locked up in the bathroom and both end up taking a shower together where Rudra seduces Preesha and almost has her before Armaan walks in on them. Later Rudra reminds Preesha that only he knows about her belly piercing. Rudra and Preesha end up saving each other from a fire. On the wedding day, Rudra recreates his jail wedding with Preesha which helps brings back her memories. Rudra and Preesha get into an accident on their way to the hospital and Preesha's memory comes back. Rudra and Preesha reunite on Dusshera and decide to expose Armaan together.

Rudra and Preesha finally expose Armaan's true colours and send him to jail. Rudra and Preesha decide to remarry and celebrate Karavachauth together. Pihu falls in love with Vidyut, Raj causes trouble between them. Armaan plans to blackmail Preesha using her and Rudraksh's missing son's location. On the wedding day, he plans a bomb blast and everyone thinks Rudraksh is dead. Preesha accuses Vidyut for Rudraksh's death and sends him to jail which shocks Pihu and then Vidyut supposedly dies after being run over by a train which causes Pihu to want to take revenge from Preesha.

3 Months Later

Rudra is revealed to be alive. He's shocked to see his family broken and walks into Khurana house declaring Pihu to be his fiancé as she is pregnant with Vidyut's child and find out why Preesha is taking care of Armaan. Preesha is being blackmailed by Armaan in order of exchange of information for Rudra and Preesha's missing son. Ruhi and Saaransh want to unite their parents. Rudra becomes enraged at Preesha and keeps cornering her. He seduces her saying that she can never be satisfied with Armaan and knows she's hiding something. Pihu remains vengeful towards Preesha decides to sepsrate them. And she separates her from Rudra by making her to believe that she is pregnant with Rudra's child as Preesha unaware of the truth that Pihu had lied to her as she pregnant with only Vidyut's child. Rudra and Preesha pretend to be a happy family on Ruhi's sports day and win all the competitions. Ruhi finds out Armaan is faking his act. Rudra and his children expose Armaan. Preesha confesses she got blackmailed by Armaan for as she wanted to find Rudra and Preesha's missing son and she reveals how Armaan helped Revati by kidnapping their child. Rudra promises they will find their son together and they reunite. Armaan tells them that he's taken over their entire wealth and throws them out of Khurana house. Rudra learns that Pihu had lied Preesha for being pregnant with his child and Pihu confesses the truth to both Rudra and Preesha. Rudra and Preesha struggle to find jobs and feed their children. Rudra and his family learns that, Vidyut is still alive and they learns that Armaan had made Vidyut by bringing him inside the warehouse instead of meeting Pihu and drugs him and tortures him after four months, Pihu who comes about Vidyut's truth decides to expose Armaan with the help of Rudra and Preesha. Rudra and Preesha confront Armaan but he baits Rudra to loose his temper. Rudra gets drunk and Preesha finds evidence against Armaan on the night he gets murdered. Preesha is accused for killing Armaan and gets arrested. Rudra and Preesha investigate and find out Revati murdered Armaan. Rudra and Preesha find a baby and think it's their missing son, they get disappointed as their search mission keeps failing. Rudra promises to fix everything and gets all his wealth back. Rudra and Preesha spend quality time with each other as he plans a night out for them. Preesha's mangalsutra breaks and she worries for them. Rudra then says that even if they both die, their love will remain eternal as they will find each other's soul in every life time. Rudra and Preesha spend time with their children and Revati plans an attack against them. A bomb blast supposedly kills off the entire family, including Saransh, Ruhi and Sharada. Rudra and Preesha die holding each other and Rudra says they'll find each other in the next life as their story as soulmates will continue.

20 years later
Nayantara's mother, Malati Iyer, is planning Nayantara's wedding day but the wedding is cancelled. Nayantara is rejected by society for her appearance and way of talking back. The Iyers are financially struggling. Malati believes there's a soulmate out there for Nayantara who will love Nayantara as she deserves. Meanwhile in London, Preesha and Rudraksh's son, Samrat is revealed to be a famous rockstar. Samrat hates his face since he looks exactly like his father. Revati poisons his mind to believe that Rudraksh and Preesha are bad and they killed her family but she still adopted Samrat and made him a rockstar. Samrat is a playboy and doesn't respect women. Samrat comes to India with Aliya and Mohit. Mohit is revealed to be the son of Subodh the suicide bomber of the bomb which killed Preesha and Rudra.

Samrat tells Nayantara now she has to live with him as his legal wife and announces their marriage front of the media and how much he loves her. Nayantara plans to leave as soon as Ishaani and Mohit get married again. Manasi, Samrat's ex enters trying to frame Samrat with a child, Prem, that she claims is Samrat's. Nayantara takes a liking to Prem and tells Samrat that she will divorce him if he gives Prem's custody to her. Manasi and her fiancé, Raghav, who is Samrat's rival, invite him to their wedding. Samrat plans a makeover for Nayantara and both attend the party together. Nayantara grabs attention and wins everyone's heart, Samrat and Nayantara come close at the wedding and understand each other better. Samrat cries in Nayantara's arms whole night for being abandoned as she puts him to sleep and promises to help him get rid of his darkness. Samrat and Nayantara are asked to live together for six months by the court. Samrat tries to make it hard for them but Nayantara moves into Samrat's room. Samrat finds out about Revati attempting to murder Mohit, Ishaani and Malati and confronts her. Revati gets arrested but runs away, she asks Aliya to take revenge from Samrat and Nayantara. Samrat moves Nayantara's family to Khurana house. The children lock Samrat and Nayan in a car and Samrat ends up giving CPR to Nayan and saves her life. Samrat hurts himself and Nayan helps him recover and takes care of him. Malati plans a Shanti Pooja in the house and Samrat takes a stand for Nayantara and proudly declares her as his wife. Samrat is forced to sing at Manasi and Raghav's wedding where a scandal happens and Raghav is found sleeping with Ishaani. Nayantara slaps Raghav. Samrat is furious to find out Raghav planned to trap Nayantara instead and Nayantara calms him down questioning why he cares. Manasi and Aliya join hands to separate Samrat and Nayantara. Manasi fakes an accident and shows up at Khurana house for shelter, Nayantara convinces Samrat to help her out. Manasi upsets Nayantara by telling her that on her Sangeet, she kissed Samrat. Nayantara gets furious at Samrat and tears his shirt, she later burns his breakfast. Samrat gets upset and Nayantara ignoring him and confronts her, he clarifies that Manasi is lying and that he's surprised that Nayantara is jealous, he laughs at Nayantara denying her jealousy. Samrat finally gets Raghav arrested and Nayantara tells Samrat that she will always help him which makes him happy. Samrat plans a birthday surprise for Nayantara that Manasi tried to spoil by making him late. Samrat pacifies a furious Nayantara and carries her to their terrace where he plans a romantic date for them. Samrat and Nayantara have a great time and Nayantara is high to touched by all of Samrat's surprises. Nayantara starts doubting Manasi but gets upset when Samrat does not believe her. Samrat fakes to not believe Manasi because he's already figured out Manasi has a plan and wants to expose her to get rid of Manasi for good. Nayantara falls into the water tank and Samrat rescues her. Nayantara tells Samrat it was Manasi that pushed her but Samrat pretends to not believe her which upsets Nayan. At Holi, Nayantara is angry at Samrat but he dances with her and makes sure they apply colour on each other first. Samrat finds out Aliya has been helping Manasi and plans a fake tax raid to expose Manasi. Samrat hugs Nayantara and thanks her for bringing calmness and stability in his life. Manasi fakes a miscarriage and blackmails Samrat that she will get Nayantara arrested so Samrat has to break Nayantara's heart and say that he still loves Manasi and brings her back to their home. Nayantara finds out Manasi was never pregnant so Manasi gets Nayantara kidnapped. Samrat risks his life and ends up saving Nayantara from a bomb. Manasi starts blackmailing Nayantara using a video of Aliya in a compromising position so Nayantara has to leave Samrat's room. Samrat passionately corners Nayantara and asks her why she's become cold to him when he could feel how much they deeply care for each other. Samrat drinks whole night and the family figures out he's fallen in love with Nayantara. They all make a plan to get rid of Manasi. Samrat and Nayantara tell each other how Manasi has been blackmailing them both and they finally get Manasi arrested.

Samrat realises he has feelings for Nayantara when he asks her to move back in his room with him and the family helps him in confessing his feelings to Nayantara. Samrat ends up getting cold feet last minute and starts writing anonymous poetry for her. Samrat uses poetry by a man named Aktar which Nayantara loves reading. They all later find out that Aktar is Malati's husband; Nayantara and Ishaani's father Govind who was supposedly dead. It is revealed that ten years earlier, Govind had an affair with a woman named Aarati and that Govind faked his own death. Aarati and Govind raise their daughter and the daughter is revealed to be Manasi. The family accepts Govind back in their life. Samrat fills vermillion on Nayantara's head and hopes she will be his partner in every life time. Nayantara moves back into Samrat's room which makes him very happy but she tells him she considers their relationship to be just friendship and wants Mohit and Ishaani to back off from teasing them. Samrat ends up crying when he feels his love is one sided but doesn't give up. He continues sending her secret letters and flowers. Samrat asks Nayantara what she wants in a lover. She tells him she wants someone who is her best friend, the other half of her soul, who understands her better than she understands her own self. Manasi finds out that Govind is Nayantara and Ishaani's father and makes a big scene when she finds out what happened to Ashok, whom Aarati kills in an accident. She decides to start blackmailing Samrat and fakes her death. Samrat finds out Manasi is alive and gets blackmailed by her again to save Govind and Nayantara he makes a plan. He takes Nayantara out on a date and confessed his love to her. He then pushes her off a cliff, as she falls Nayantara misunderstands that Manasi and Samrat planned her death together. It is revealed that Samrat had seen Manasi trying to shoot Nayantara so he tried to save her life but finds out Manasi double crossed Samrat and found out about his plan too. Samrat chases the fishermen he hired to save Nayantara and finds out Nayantara is missing which devastates him. Nayantara is rescued by Siddharth, Raghav's brother, who wants revenge against Samrat. She later sees Manasi in Samrat's house so she decides to destroy Samrat. Samrat tries to kill himself thinking Nayantara is dead but decides to live for Prem.

1 Month Later

Samrat is performing at a concert and Antara enters as his competition much to his shock. Nayantara has a makeover transforming herself into a much glamorous Rockstar Antara. Samrat hugs Antara and she denies that she is Nayantara. Samrat tries his best to keep confronting her but fails. Antara takes over his popularity and leaks the murder video so Samrat is arrested and his reputation is destroyed.

20 Years Later
